  1. Open the "iAM Smart" mobile app
  2. Select "Start Quick Registration"
  3. Select "Adult (Aged 18 or over)"
  4. Read and agree the "Declaration of the Applicant" carefully
  5. Select "Start", enable voice navigation when scanning Hong Kong Identity Card (HKIC) and facial identification if needed
  6. Capture the front side of HKIC
  7. Place the HKIC close to the NFC antenna position of your mobile phone and hold it for about 8 seconds until the data reading is completed
  8. Align your face with the photo frame on the screen and follow instructions to complete the actions for real person and facial identification
  9. Perform mobile phone built-in biometric authentication
  10. Setup "iAM Smart" 6 digital password
  11. Provide Email Address
  12. "iAM Smart+" registration is completed

  6. Parent/guardian read and agree the "Declaration of the Parent/Guardian" carefully
  7. Select "Start", enable voice navigation when scanning Hong Kong Identity Card (HKIC) and facial identification if needed
  8. Capture the front side of HKIC
  9. Place the HKIC close to the NFC antenna position of your mobile phone and hold it for about 8 seconds until the data reading is completed

  11. Perform mobile phone built-in biometric authentication
  12. Setup "iAM Smart" 6 digital password

Tips about the HKIC Near-field communication(NFC) are listed below. Please contact "iAM Smart" Hotline for any enquiries.
Android Device Demonstration
As shown in the above figure, the system will display the NFC antenna position for common mobile phone models. During the registration process, users are required to follow the instructions and place the front side of their Hong Kong Identity Card (HKIC) vertically against the NFC antenna position on the back of the phone.

Users may need to remove the phone case and adjust the position of the Hong Kong Identity Card (HKIC) until five green indicator light turns on. Keep the Hong Kong Identity Card (HKIC) in that position until the card reading is completed. The entire card reading process takes about 8 seconds. Please do not remove the Hong Kong Identity Card (HKIC) before the reading is completed.
